At The Funhouse
While Lindsay is off in the funhouse trying to find a way out for her and Troy, Troy uncuffs himself and makes minor adjustment the the hidden camera and microphone and turns on a strobe light in the corridor.
Troy: Come on Lindsay. You can't keep dodging the truth forever.
Lindsay: (in the passage way, that now has strobe lights flashing) Troy! I'm lost again. Can you hear me?
Troy: (putting the handcuffs back on, he sits by the wheel) I'm here!
Lindsay: (entering the main room) God, I hate this place so much! It's like a maze. Every door and window is boarded up. We could die in here and no one would ever find us.
Troy: That's his plan Lindsay. He hates you so much.
Lindsay: Yeah, I know he does.
Troy: Look, I might be able to get us out of this Lindsay. But I got to get in his mind somehow. I got to figure out what's driving him. Lindsay tell me what happened between you and Nora. I know he blames you for everything. But what exactly is that? Lindsay why is Colin so obsessed? Tell me what you did. Lindsay what happened between you and Nora?
Lindsay: (running behind the wheel) Look what I found. (Troy looks worried) I don't want you to think about Colin, okay. I think I found a way out of here for us. (holding up a crow bar)
Troy: A way out! Are you sure?
Lindsay: I'm pretty sure.
Troy: I thought you said that everything was boarded up.
Lindsay: I was stumbling around and I fell on something. Troy, I think I found a trap door.
Troy: What!
Lindsay: Yes, I don't think Colin saw it. It was covered with debris. It's sealed, but I'll get it open.
Troy: Lindsay no! Don't do this. If Colin catches you, he's going to kill you.
Lindsay: I have to try!
Troy: No Lindsay! I don't want you to do this. I don't want you to get hurt.
Lindsay: I have to try! If it weren't for Colin, we'd be in Paris on our honeymoon.
Troy: Paris.
Lindsay: We're going to have that honeymoon, do you hear me? We are. I love you. Wish me luck.
Troy: Good luck! (Lindsay leaves) Damn it! (undoing the cuffs) A trap door! How could I have missed that? (quickly changing into Colin, he smoothes back his hair and cleans his face, then checks himself in a mirror) You're good Lindsay! You're real good. But this means way too much to me. (he goes through the secret passage to search for Lindsay)
Lindsay returns to the entrance and pushes the debris aside looking for the spot where the trap door was when she's stopped by Colin putting his foot on the crow bar(grinning) and she gasps.
Lindsay: You came back.
"Colin": NOPE! I never left! Neither will you.
Lindsay: Colin, listen to me
"Colin": NO, YOU listen to me Lindsay! YOU MIGHT AS WELL MAKE YOURSELF COMFORTABLE HERE, cause this is where you're going to die!
Lindsay: I don't deserve this.
"Colin": OH, you're right Lindsay, you don't deserve this. YOU DESERVE MUCH WORSE!
Lindsay: You're brother doesn't deserve this either.
"Colin": You're right about that. Troy doesn't deserve to die. Suffer, maybe; but not die! Unfortunately YOU left me no choice.
Lindsay: Well just tell me why you think this is my fault?
"Colin": YOU KNOW WHY LINDSAY! You need to be punished for what you did to Nora!
Lindsay: Troy didn't have anything to do with that.
"Colin": He does now. Thanks to you. You're the one that got him involved Lindsay! He was going to marry you and take you to Paris on a honeymoon. Do you think that I'm going to let my twin brother, my own flesh and blood MAKE YOU HAPPY!
Lindsay: You're not going to get away with this.
"Colin": (laughing) Sure I will!
Lindsay: No, you won't because when Troy and I don't come back they're going to notice. And they're going to know you were behind it and you'll go to prison for the rest of your life.
"Colin": Yeah but you see, here's your problem Lindsay. Troy is coming back from Paris. He's just going to dress a little nicer now.
Lindsay: What are you talking about?
"Colin": Oh, it's very simple really. You see, after I kill the both of you, I'm going to show up a little sad and a little depressed. And I'm going to tell everyone that I had a very unfortunate honeymoon experience with Lindsay. Things just didn't work out so well. So Lindsay decided to travel. She figured returning to Llanview would be too painful after yet another failed marriage.
Lindsay: No one will believe that.
"Colin": ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Everyone will believe that Lindsay. But you see, the thing is no one will come looking for you.
Lindsay: But they will come looking for Troy
"Colin": Oh, but Troy is going to be there. I am going to be there for everyone to see Lindsay. So welcome to your nightmare!
Lindsay: You're a monster!
"Colin": Am I a monster Lindsay? Am I a MONSTER LINDSAY? Or am I just a victim of a monster? It was your selfishness that made me ruin Nora's life!
Lindsay: I'm so sorry.
"Colin": Oh YOU'RE SORRY! Oh well, that's too bad Lindsay!
Lindsay: Oh please Colin, please, I'll do anything.
"Colin": Everybody already knows that about you Lindsay.
Lindsay: Is there anything Troy can do? I mean he's your brother.
"Colin": NO! NO!
Lindsay: I know you love him. I know you care about him.
"Colin": No, no!
Lindsay: Can't you talk to him?
"Colin": NO, he's not going to talk me out of it!
Lindsay: I know he loves you so very much. He's hurt! Do you know how badly hurt he is? Come on, come with me and see how hurt . . .
"Colin": NO! I know what I did to him! I'm not going to let him talk me out of this. (pulling a remote out of his backpocket behind his back, he presses a button. Troy's heard calling for Lindsay.)
Troy's voice: Lindsay!
Lindsay: You see. Listen, he's calling me. He may be in pain. Please don't hurt him anymore, please. He's not responsible.
Troy: You're right, he's not responsible Lindsay! But he's going to die anyway! And you know why Lindsay? DO YOU KNOW WHY? Because of you! It's all because of you!
Lindsay: Please Colin, please!
"Colin": Oh poor little Lindsay, she's crying. She wants mercy. Do you want mercy Lindsay? (She nods yes) Yes, well I'LL give you mercy. You've got FIVE minutes to say good-bye before I kill the two of you. FIVE MINUTES! NOW get out of my sight! GO! (he shoves her towards the passageway and switches on the strobe light)
Lindsay: Troy, I'm coming. I'm coming back to you.
Troy hustles through the secret panel and changes back into the torn sweater and handcuffs himself back to the spinning wheel.
Lindsay: Troy!
Troy: (Lindsay comes into the main room) God Lindsay, thank god you're alright. Were you able to get the trap door open?
Lindsay: No. Oh God, Colin was there.
Troy: What!
Lindsay: He . . . he was there.
Troy: Oh God no.
Lindsay: He said . . .
Troy: What? What did he say?
Lindsay: He said that he was going to kill us because of me. Troy we're going to die.
Troy: NO, you listen to me. I am not going to let this happen, do you hear me? Colin is my twin. I know how his mind works. Look, there's some way I might be able to get us out of this.
Lindsay: How?
Troy: Look, you've got to tell me Lindsay. Please, tell me what happened the day that Nora was given that drug? You got to tell me. Lindsay! Lindsay this is our only chance. Please you got to tell me.
Lindsay: I just don't see how that's going to change anything now.
Troy: Listen to me. HE is coming to kill us! Please, this could be our only chance.
Lindsay: I want to.
Troy: Then tell me.
Lindsay: I wanted to tell someone for so long, anyone, but I didn't have anyone I could trust.
Troy: It's okay. You could trust me. Just tell me.
Lindsay: I'm scared. I'm scared.
Troy: Lindsay, I don't want to die Lindsay. I don't want to die. I love you.
Lindsay: But what I did is do bad, even if I didn't mean to do it. And I didn't, I swear to you I didn't.
Troy: Lindsay, please tell me.
Lindsay: I can't. I can't.
Troy: Lindsay please, you can trust me. I love you. I will always love you. Do you hear me?
Lindsay: Yes.
Troy: Tell me!
Lindsay: Colin didn't give Nora that drug that erased her memory. (she cries) I did. I did. (laying her head on Troy's chest) Colin knew about the drug. He knew about the drug that could erase recent memories. But he wouldn't get it for me. It didn't matter because I managed to get my hands on it myself.
Troy: And you gave the drug to Nora?
Lindsay: I didn't mean to! It was an accident. But what choice did I have?
Troy: I guess the only other choice you had was to admit what you did and go to jail.
Lindsay: I couldn't make that choice. I have two children that needed me. But even so, I don't think I would have done it if . . .
Troy: If what?
Lindsay: If Nora hadn't surprised me and attacked me.
Troy: So Lindsay, you were the one that brought that drug to Colin's house?
Lindsay: Yes, but I don't believe that I would have really used it.
Troy: Except you did.
Lindsay: Nora and I struggled. We fought for the needle. And she got stuck. And that was that. There was nothing I could do about it. I hate myself for doing it. But I had to do it because I didn't want Nora to remember what Colin and I had done to her. Do you understand? Do you hate me now? I finally told someone. And now no matter what happens, I told you. It feels so good to have told . . . And to have somebody that I could love and trust enough to tell.
Troy: Thank you for letting me be the only person that knows the truth. (she shakes her head no) Someone else knows?!
Lindsay: My children.
Troy: Will and Jen know?!
Lindsay: Yes, but they want to protect me. I'm their mother. They're not going to tell anyone.
Troy: I know they won't. So you are responsible for Nora's kidnapping too?
Lindsay: Yes, and I let Colin take the blame for it.
Troy: And you were the one that gave Nora the drug that wiped out her memory?
Lindsay: Yes, and I let Colin take the blame for that too.
Troy: Thank you. Thank you for telling me all that.
Lindsay: Did I help us? Did I? Do you have enough information now to get Colin to change his mind? Troy! . . . Troy, what are you thinking?
Troy: (calmly looking at Lindsay) . . . I'm thinking . . . Gotcha! (she looks shocked)
