At Troy's
Nora: I don't want you doing anything for me, especially if it involves Lindsay. The war between her and me is over.
Troy: So you're just giving up!
Nora: I'm not giving up! I have lost interest in the pursuit, and I actually have you to thank for that.
Troy: Me!
Nora: Yes the treatment that you gave me. It gave me back the most important part of my life. The memories of my family and the people that I love.
Troy: Nora, I think that's great! But there are still more to find out.
Nora: I DON'T WANT YOU DOING THIS, especially if it involves sleeping with Lindsay. The whole idea is . . . it's disturbing.
Troy: Why? What? What is it about me with Lindsay you find so disturbing?
Nora: It's wrong!
Troy: Wrong?!
Nora: It's exploitive!
Troy: Exploitive! Well there's a lawyer's word.
Nora: Well how about some more words. STOP what you're doing!
Troy: I can't! It's too late for that.
Nora: Tell me something Troy. Are you truly interested in Lindsay?
Troy: Oh you better believe it!
Nora: No, no, you know what I mean. Do you have genuine feelings for Lindsay?
Troy: Well that depends. Does despising what she did you you count? Does despising what she did to my brother count? Nora, I know that there is no way Colin would have done the things that he did if it wasn't for Lindsay manipulating him.
Nora: You are using her. And I know you're trying to absolve Colin's guilt. But I've a news flash for you, Colin is still guilty!
Troy: I'm not denying that.
Nora: Well what you're doing with Lindsay is absolutely no better than what Colin would have done.
Troy: (obviously upset) You know what, you shouldn't even say things like that.
Nora: Well it's true!
Troy: NO, it's not true! Colin used women for his own gratification. I am doing what I have to do for you and for my brother's memory.
Nora: Oh is that suppose to make it right. Is that suppose to make me feel better? Cause it DOESN'T!
Troy: Let me ask you something Nora. Are you upset at what I'm doing or that I'm doing it with Lindsay Rappaport? (leaves to go get dressed)
Nora: (waiting for him) Are you suggesting that I'm jealous?
Troy: Nora, I'm not suggesting anything. I'm just saying that some times that happens in male/female friendship like ours. Sometimes when you add another female to the mix . . .
Nora: Okay, you are WAY out off base mister! I can't have you messing with Lindsay for me or for your brother Colin for that matter, because at best it's wrong! And at worse, it's damaging!
Troy: So now you're worried about me hurting Lindsay?!
Nora: Sleeping with Lindsay is like signing over your soul over in blood.
Troy: You make her sound like she's the devil!
Nora: Oh I do, well, let me amend that . . . The devil has a much more highly developed sense of fair play.
Troy: Really! Cause Nora I gotta tell you, so far I've found Lindsay nothing but charming.
Nora: Of course she's charming! She's being seduced! It's when she's being abandoned that she turns lethal! Ask Sam. Ask Bo!
Troy: Oh NO! See Bo and Sam fell in love with her. And that is one mistake I'm not going to make.
Nora: What you're doing now Troy is a mistake.
Troy: Look Nora, even if Lindsay is as dangerous as you say she is, as soon as I nail her for giving you that drug, you know what's going to happen next.
Nora: Yes, I do, that's why I'm telling you not to do this.
Troy: NO, she will be found guilty of kidnapping, of assault, of possession with a controlled substance. They will put her away for a VERY, VERY long time. Someplace where she can't hurt me, you or anyone else for that matter.
Nora: You DON'T get it, do you? You just don't get it! People don't nail Lindsay, Lindsay nails them!
Troy: Well we'll see about that! It's too late for me to stop Nora. I'm way too close. But don't you worry, things are going to work out. You'll see!
Nora: Troy, I don't want you to do this.
Troy: I think you do!
Nora: You're wrong!
Troy: Am I? So then tell me. Look me in the eye and tell me. Tell me that you sleep easily at night knowing what Lindsay did to you. Tell me that you don't have the slightest problem knowing that Lindsay is out there walking free. Tell me that you don't even think about it! And you tell me that when you look in a mirror, that you don't see a haunted woman looking back at you. I know what you want Nora and I'm going to give it to you whether you ask me for it or not!
Nora: On New Year's Eve, you told me you had feelings for me and that everything you did and are doing is for me.
Troy: Partly yes, and partly for Colin.
Nora: I'm with Sam, Troy!
Troy: I know that!
Nora: If you do anything that's based on more than friendship, don't expect me to reciprocate!
Troy: I can accept that . . . if you can accept that I can't let this go Nora. Colin was my identical twin. I HAVE to do this to prove that there are ways that we were not identical. I need this Nora.
Nora: (walks to the door) I want no part of this! (She opens the door to leave and runs into Matthew and Sam)
Sam: Hey, saved me the trouble of knocking.
Nora: Hi! (they kiss) Hi sweetie! Hi there! (picking up Matthew)
Sam: So did you get the incorporation papers taken care of?
Nora: What?!
Sam: Don't look now Matthew, but I think Mommie's getting a little forgetful!
Nora: What?!
Sam: Well you came here to get the incorporation papers signed for Troy's free clinic, remember?
Nora: Oh yeah, he was looking them over and uh . . . what are you guys doing down here?
Sam: Well we were here in the building anyway to see Jen.
Matthew: And we came to find you.
Nora: Oh you did!
Troy: (from inside the apartment) Is that my favorite patient I hear?
Matthew: Yea, Dr. Troy! (runs in to see Troy)
Sam: Okay.
Nora: What?!
Sam: What happened?
Nora: What do you mean?
Sam: Oh come on Nora, I could see you're upset. What's going on?
Nora: When I came by, Lindsay was here.
Sam: Oh, no need to explain further.
Nora: No, I meant there's something going on between the two of them, but that's not what I got upset . . . it . . . She just drives me crazy no matter who she's with.
Sam: Right, right! I this, whatever it was, must have been particularly disappointing. You thought Troy was your friend and now that he's with Lindsay.
Nora: No, he's still my friend. She's taken too much away from me. She's not going to get that too! (she kisses Sam) Let's go get Matthew.
Sam: Okay.
Troy: (showing some of his African art to Matthew) See the guy right here? This guy's from Africa. Do you know where that is?
Matthew: Yeah, Mommy got me a globe of the whole world for Hannukah.
Troy: She did! Wow! That was pretty nice of her.
Sam: Okay tiger! Come on, time to go.
Matthew: (looking at another piece of art) Wait! Look at all the cool stuff Dr. Troy has.
Sam: Yeah, that's very nice . . . (goes to get Matthew) No, no, don't touch it!
Troy: (handing Nora the papers) You forgot your incorporation papers.
Nora: Thank you.
Troy: And by this time tomorrow, I'll have the rest of what I promised you.
Nora: Lindsay's never going to confess to you or anyone else. Not now, not ever! I don't care how good of a bedside manner you have.
Troy: Oh I got alot more going for me than bedside manners.
Sam: An interesting collection of African artifacts you have there doc.
Troy: Thank you.
Matthew: Can we come back and see them again sometimes?
Troy: (kneeling in front of Matthew) Of course you can come back and see them again sometime. Any friend of your mother's is a friend of mine.
Matthew: Thanks!
Troy: You're welcome.
Nora: And any enemy too apparently!
Troy: Right! Well on that note, good-bye Nora, Sam. Good-bye Matthew!
Matthew: Good-bye Dr. Troy.
Troy: Bye buddy!
Sam: Come on champ!
Nora: Bye. (they all leave)
Sam: You really are upset about this Troy and Lindsay thing, aren't you?
Nora: More than you know.
Sam: Well he's made his choice. He's put your friendship behind his interest in Lindsay. (She looks at him) He'll have to accept that.
Nora: Yes, he has made his choice! (They leave)
Troy: (Playing back the tape where Lindsay says she needs a drug) Oh I'm going to get you a drug alright! Just not the drug you're looking for!
