At Asa's Memorial Service

Natalie has intruded on the service to upstage Jessica's eulogy. Bo dismisses the guests at the service and invites them back to Asa's mansion for a reception. Troy and Nora linger behind the rest of the guests watching Natalie.

Nora: (looking at Natalie) Whoo! She's got a lot of nerve.

Troy: There's an understatement. You really loved Asa, didn't you?

Nora: Yeah I did.

Troy: I can tell from the way you spoke about him. That was nice.

Nora: Mmmm, thanks.

Troy: You obviously have some wonderful memories of him.

Nora: Yeah. (smiling) Infuriating ones too but, (Troy chuckles) I'm glad I have those memories.

Troy: Well hopefully you'll have some more now that you decided to undergo the treatment.

Nora: Right, . . .

Troy: You okay?

Nora: Troy, I don't think it would be good for me to keep trying to remember the past.

Troy: Nora, I don't think you could help it if Lindsay's going to keep throwing it in your face like she did last night at the Palace.

Nora: I know. I know.

At Asa's - Nora walks into the main room with Troy.

Nora: Oh what I would give for a camera (because of all the ex-wives in one place). Excuse me.

Nora walks away and Alex walks up to Troy.

Alex: Hi! Who are you? (Nora comes back)

Nora: (taking Troy's arm and leading him away) Could I talk to you for a moment please?

Troy: Ah yeah, excuse me.

Nora: (smiling at Alex) Excuse us.

In the Library - Lindsay has gone to the mansion in search of Al under the pretense that Jenn sent her to offer Al her condolences. Knowing Lindsay is lying, he tries to dismiss her, but Lindsay continues questioning him about his friendship with Jenn and then she starts talking about Asa probably leaving Al everything in his will. Troy and Nora walk in on their conversation.

Nora: You just don't give up do you, Lindsay?

Lindsay: You just interrupted a very private conversation.

Nora: Oh I'm sorry. I thought I interrupted your grilling of Al about his inheritance.

Lindsay: What! No one's allowed to care how he's going to take care of himself?

Nora: (moving between Lindsay and Al) They are, if their concern is genuine. Your's isn't. (to Al) More people are starting to arrive.

Al: Thanks Nora. I'll go greet them. (leaves)

Nora: People are here who actually want to pay their respects. (she walks over to a chair and sits)

Lindsay: Oh, is that what you're doing here Troy? I didn't even know you knew Asa.

Troy: Ah yeah, actually I had met him a couple of times.

Lindsay: (smiling at Troy) How lucky for him.

Troy gives Lindsay a little smile then walks over to lean against the couch, while observing Nora and Lindsay's confrontation.

Nora: Don't pay attention to her Troy. She couldn't set her daughter up with a millionaire so now she's pouting.

Lindsay: (standing behind Nora's chair) I happen to care very much about that boy.

Nora: Hmm. You do as long as your daughter's not speaking to you.

Lindsay: I'm here because Jen asked me to be.

Nora: (to Troy) And if you believe that, I bet she has some swamp land to sell you too.

Lindsay: Oh you go ahead and make your fun Nora. But I wonder how Sam is going to feel when he sees you with Troy? (that catches Troy's attention)

Nora: Sam is out of town.

Lindsay: So you're seeing each other behind his back?

Nora: (standing, she turns to face Lindsay) No we're not. We ran into each other at the service.

Lindsay: I see.

Nora: Troy is the doctor who saved my son's life, and Sam and I are grateful to have him as a friend.

Lindsay: Really! Well if Sam buys that one maybe I will sell him that swamp land. (Lindsay leaves, but takes a look back at Troy before she does.)

Later - Nora is standing by the fireplace mantle lost in thought while Troy pours a drink.

Troy: (bringing Nora the drink) Here you go.

Nora: Oh no, not today.

Troy: Are you sure? Cause I think you could use its medicinal properties.

Nora: Medicinal properties?!

Troy: Yeah, for what Lindsay does to you.

Nora: (walking away) Oh what, annoy me?

Troy: Ah it's more than that. I don't know what she did to you last night but it was almost like you had an allergic reaction.

Nora: (she circles the end of the couch) Oh come on!

Troy: (moving to stand behind the chair) Aah, you were out of breathe, your face was all flushed. I'll betcha if I had taken that pulse of yours, I'll betcha it would have been racing.

Nora: (leaning on the back of the couch) Okay, she upset me. (smiling) So doctor, what's the anecdote?

Troy: (leaning on the back of the chair, facing Nora) You know what the anecdote is.

Nora: (her smile fading) To find out once and for all what Lindsay did to me at Colin's house.

Troy: Yes.

Nora: Yes.

Troy: So you'll have the treatment?

Nora: I'll have the treatment.

Troy: When?

Nora: Today. As soon as the reception's over. (goes to pick up her purse)

Troy: (following Nora to the door) Okay, you finish up things here and I'll go get things ready for you.

Nora: (turning back to Troy with a look of dread on her face) Thank you. (She leaves)

Troy follows her into the hallway and stops in front of a mirror and watches as Nora walks away. A pleased look crosses his face in the form of a slanted smile as his reflection is shown in the mirror.
