On February 26, 2001, I chatted with Laura, Pam, Lee and Ciera. Below are some of the points we covered!
- One of Ty's favorite movies of 2000 was Almost Famous.
- Ty and Hillary B. Smith play backgammon, but she is frightened by his "backgammon prowress."
- When Laura said that she couldn't go to the luncheon because she would be nervous around famous people, Ty asked if there would be famous people there. Lee responded, "Yes, Hillary B. Smith."
- Laura asked Ty if he could suggest to the wardrobe department that he wear the irridescent blue shirt more often, and Ty suggested that be the official uniform of Ty's Territory.
- Everyone discussed Ty's movie, ...Or Forever Hold Your Peace.
- It was noted how ironic it was that Ty's character in the film is named Gabe, and that is the name Ciera suggested for Colin's twin on the forum.
- Ty complimented Ciera on her "twisted sense of humor."
- Ty told us that he and Hillary B. Smith tried to give us a Colin and Nora romance, but the writers wouldn't go for it.
- Ty said that he likes the new executive producer, Gary Tomlin, and that he has been given a lot more freedom.
February 28, 2001
Two days later, about twenty more fans joined us in the chat room for a fun night!
- Ty said that Catherine Hickland (Lindsay) is "great, very generous and very funny. We have a great time together. She's like my big sister."
- When asked who the best kisser was on OLTL, everyone tried to figure out if he had ever actually kissed Roseanne. The verdict? No.
- Lee said the later it gets, the funnier we think we are. Ty responded that, "By midnight, we all think we are Jerry Seinfeld."
- We talked about one of Ty's favorite bands, Creed. "Can you take me Ty-er."
- Ty said, "I used to be an accountant, now I play make believe for a living."
- Ty turned from his job to acting "when I started thinking that the big hand on the clock just wasn't moving as fast during the day as it was on the weekends and at night."
- When Ty said that he likes to read magazines at Barnes and Noble, Laura commented that she "lives there." Ty said, "I like what you've done with the place, Laura."
- Ty informed us that he wears boxer briefs with the little button fly's.
- "Colin has the Crossroads keys and he goes there every night after it closes and gets loaded. That's why he's acting so crazy lately."
- Ty's last words were, "Beam me up..."
