Rules and Regulations
We want #tycom to be a fun and enjoyable place for everyone. These are just some basic ground rules that will help keep everything rolling smoothly.
Rude or purposefully aggravating behaviour will not be tolerated. Persons who go out of their way to insult or annoy other room members will be asked to stop or leave. Failure to comply can result in kick/banning(being ejected from and permanently banned from a room)
NO SPAMMING. If you want to share a story or a lot of info, email is the way to go.
We encourage proper capitalization, grammar, and spelling. We won’t penalize people for not being perfect; we just want to be able to communicate quickly and effectively.
We discourage the use of excessive cursing, vulgarity, or “adult” topics. This is to protect any minors in the room. If a minor IS in room, we ask all adults present to please refrain from questionable speech or subject matters.
We ask all minors to please identify themselves as such IMMEDIATELY upon entering the room. If you do not wish to make a room “age” announcement (believe us, we understand) please private msg one of the Ops (people with the @ by their name) and let them know. They will make a general room announcement that a minor is present and that the appropriate behavior should be observed.
Personal disputes are to be handled off-channel. You can private msg on IRC. You also have e-mail. We do not want #tycom to be used as anyone’s arena of confrontation. You can/will be asked to leave or take it “otherwindow” if you are perceived as using #tycom to confront someone with a personal matter.
